Access for Persons with Disabilities
Library staff will provide reasonable assistance to persons with disabilities on request. Please ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.
Patrons with disabilities may expect assistance on demand whenever practicable with services and resources including retrieval of library materials, interlibrary loan requests, access to Course Reserve materials, and using the open computer lab.
Special arrangements may be needed for access to some services and resources, especially during evening and weekend hours. Services requiring special arrangements include extensive reference assistance, copying of library materials (copying costs are paid by the patron), or retrieval of microform materials. Please call the Circulation Desk at (239) 590-7610 or TTY (239) 590-7618 to arrange for these services.
The library building is accessible and in compliance with the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, their amendments; and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
FGCU students may use support services and receive reasonable accommodations throughout the University by registering with the Office of Adaptive Services. For additional information, contact Adaptive Services at 239-590-7956 or adaptive@fgcu.edu
