| The Library maintains a calendar of exhibits that are
repeated annually. At the discretion of the Library Outreach
Committee, traveling exhibits or new displays as created by
teaching faculty, student groups, local agencies, or Library
staff may be substituted. The regular calendar of exhibits
exists to be relied on in the event that the Committee has
not approved any proposals for new exhibits.
Exhibits may include artifacts of any kind on any subject
that will be of general educational or cultural interest
to the university community. The following types of exhibits
will be given priority:
- Exhibits which assist members of the university community
in understanding and making use of Library, University,
and community resources or of special relevance to the
Library's collections and services.
- Exhibits which showcase research or scholarly work performed
on campus by faculty or students and are instructional
in content.
- Exhibits pertaining to major events on campus or in the
community.
From time to time, traveling exhibits are made available
to the Library. The Library Outreach Committee will be responsible
for selecting and obtaining appropriate exhibits of this
type, and will give special consideration to those that
are free of charge.
Faculty, student groups, or others interested in sponsoring
an exhibit in the Library should fill out an Exhibit
Proposal Form and submit it to the Library for consideration
no less than two months prior to the proposed start date.
