articles provide more recent research information focusing more concisely on a specific topic. Information from journals/periodicals is more current and up-to-date than the information in books due to the frequency of publication. The most efficient means of locating articles from journals is to use an online database.
What is an online research database?
An online research database is an online index to information and resources. Databases provide access to journal articles, statistics, and chapters from books, newspapers, and more. Some databases offer access to articles published in many journals within a specific subject area, while others cover journals from a wide range of subject areas.
