Six Steps for New Faculty to Start the Semester
1. Get your FGCU ID card with 14-digit #
Your department must complete payroll and sign-on details. After H.R. has this, your information will be entered into the Banner System. Then the ID office on the second floor of the Student Services building can make your ID. The FGCU ID is your LIbrary ID to
check out library materials and is needed for off-campus access to databases and ejournals, unless you connect via
FGCU’s VPN.
2. Prepare Reserve Readings for Online Course Reserves
See Course Reserve Policies and/or create persistent links for articles in FGCU databases. These may be put in your ANGEL courses.
3. Set Up Library Links in ANGEL
When setting up courses in ANGEL, we suggest that you put FGCU Library Links under your Course Resources, along with a Tool Link to the appropriate Library Research Guide (aka LibGuide).
4. Request new supplementary materials to be added to Library collection
