Open Access is academic research that is free to read and re-use.
Open Access Week is celebrated around the world. This past year at FGCU we celebrated with a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon, film screening of The Internet’s Own Boy, Introduction to Open Research workshops, and a workshop on federal funding requirements for public access to research.
We hope to have more Open Access Week Celebrations and will announce when they are forthcoming.
