Migration Impacts

Here is what you can expect to happen as the University Library migrates to Alma and Primo VE, our new cloud-based next-generation Integrated Library System:

April 30

• Last day for materials to be requested from UBorrow. Uses will need to use ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan for all requests. 

May 28

• Purchase requests will be limited to materials available via GOBI & Kanopy. Some requests may have to wait until the library receives a new fiscal year budget.

July 9-12

• Current library system will be frozen.
• You will not be able to renew books online during this time.
• You will still be able to search for and check out library materials but item availability may not be up-to-date.
• Library Catalog/Mango and individual databases will not be impacted.

July 13

• New ILS, EagleSearch, go-live date.
• Search from the Library home page or go directly to the new EagleSearch.
• Update library links in Canvas courses.  Instructional video coming soon. 
• New and improved access to:
  • Articles
  • Journal Search
  • FGCU Library Catalog
  • Statewide Catalog
  • My Library Account
