Chicago vs. Turabian: What Is the Difference?

Kate Turabian's A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses and Dissertations, 9th edition (2018) is a "user friendly" format of the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th edition (2017) .  Unlike Chicago Style, which is used primarily by publishing houses or presses, Turabian's work simplifies the style guide for the average researcher by synthesizing the applicable rules of Chicago Style and omitting some press specific details.
