Interlibrary Loan & UBorrow

Can't find a book at the FGCU Library that you really need? Try UBorrow or Interlibrary Loan! Both programs allow you to borrow materials from other libraries, both programs are free to you, and both programs allow you to pick your materials up from and return them to the FGCU Library. So which one is best for you? 

Interlibrary Loan

  • PROS: Borrow books, articles and other materials from across the country
  • CONS: Due date and renewals are determined by the lending library and may not be very long
  • To use: Log in with your email and password and fill out the appropriate form

UBorrow

  • PROS: Borrow books from Florida universities and colleges quickly with guaranteed loan periods of 45 days and renewals of 30 days
  • CONS: Only books may be borrowed and only from within Florida
  • To use: Sign in with your email and password in the upper right corner, click the STATEWIDE CATALOG option, search
