The Library Media Production Studios are a collection of three studio spaces dedicated to creating high quality, semi-professional audio and video content. These include an Audio Production Studio, Video Production Studio, and a One Button Studio. The studios are available whenever the University Library is open, with slightly adjusted hours.
Current Hours:
Monday-Friday: 9AM-4:30PM
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
After a short in-person or online orientation*, users will be equipped to begin creating a variety of different media. Users can book the Audio and Video Studios for a combined total of 4 hours a day, which can be done here. The One Button Studio reservations are available for up to 2 hours a day, here. All studios can be booked up to two weeks in advance.
Please remember to bring a USB storage device with you to transfer your recordings.
*Audio and Video Production Studio reservations must be approved by Matt Losey. Only FGCU students, staff, and faculty may reserve and use the studios.
Discouraged Uses of the Studios:
While we encourage our users to fully use all of the equipment available to them we do ask users to refrain from the following:
- Recording live music (noise from instruments will be disruptive to library outside).
- Group meetings not requiring recording equipment.
