FGCU Library Makerspace

The Makerspace will be closed beginning 7/22/2024 for construction. We will still accept project submissions and we can meet you elsewhere in the library if you would like consultations.

About the FGCU Library's Makerspace

The FGCU Library Makerspace, located in Library West 119, is open to all faculty, staff, and students and is equipped with:

  • Three Prusa i3 MK3S+ 3D printers 
  • Two Bambu Lab X1 Carbon 3D printers
  • One Glowforge laser cutter/engraver
  • One Bantam Tools CNC milling machine 
  • One Cricut Maker
  • One Revopoint Miraco 3D scanner

The Makerspace is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, while the door is open. The machines located within the Makerspace are available for independent use, once the associated orientation is completed. Orientations may be scheduled here, or by using the orientation tab on the left side of this page. The Makerspace is also available for project consultations using the link of the left side of this page. The machines also function on a first come first serve basis. The FGCU Library Makerspace has the right to refuse any projects, for any reason.

Materials are supplied by the Makerspace for a fee. You can see each machines material pricing in their respective tabs on the left side of this screen. Those using the machines a lot are encouraged to bring their own approved materials. Payment for using Makerspace materials are handled through our online Marketplace.
