Evidence Synthesis Collaborative (ESC)

The Evidence Synthesis Collaborative

We provide evidence synthesis services to research staff, graduate students, and faculty across all departments of the Florida Gulf Coast University campus. We support various review types, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, evidence gap maps, umbrella reviews, and more. You can request a consultation or explore our resource guide to learn more.

We collaborate with investigators by:

  • Helping choose the best review methodology based on timeline, scope, and discipline
  • Identifying relevant databases, including gray literature
  • Designing and executing complex, database-specific search strategies
  • Assisting with citation management software
  • Guiding use of screening and selection tools like Covidence
  • Supporting research synthesis processes and protocol development
  • Locating and assessing existing evidence syntheses

In-Class Instruction

Librarians are available to provide in-class instruction on evidence synthesis methodology. To request an instruction session or workshop, or if you have any other questions about this service, please write to us at tmays@fgcu.edu and kreycraf@fgcu.edu
