Getting Started Finding Books & Articles
You can find books and peer-reviewed articles in three different ways! Try the (1) Library Search Box, (2) Databases, or (3) Google Scholar! Some topics work better with different tools. Try them all.
To Find peer-reviewed articles, in the main search box, select the “Articles” tab. Enter search terms and select search. When your results come up, limit to “Peer-reviewed.” Select the full text icon under the title. You will be prompted to log in with your 14 digit ID number to view the full text.
Before searching, select the menu (hamburger) icon, then settings (gear) icon, then “library links,” then enter “Florida Gulf Coast University.” Save. Now your searches will link to FGCU full-text! You will need to enter your 14 digit ID to access articles.
