Armed Forces Athletic Trainers' Society


Mission:  The mission of the Armed Forces Athletic Trainers' Society shall be to advance, encourage, and improve the profession of athletic training by developing the common interests of its membership in order to enhance the mission readiness of warfighters within the U.S. Armed Forces.

​Vision:  Athletic trainers are recognized as the ultimate force multiplier within the U.S. military in the provision of comprehensive warrior health care.

Commission of Accreditation of Athletic Training Education


Mission:  Defining, assessing, and continually improving AT Education.

Vision:  Assure accreditation excellence across the continuum of AT Education enhancing clinical practice.

National Athletic Trainers' Association


The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession. Founded in 1950, the NATA has grown to more than 45,000 members worldwide today. 

Vision:  Athletic trainers will be globally recognized as vital practitioners in the delivery and advancement of health care. Through passionate provision of unique services, athletic trainers will be an integral part of the inter-professional health care team.

Mission:  The mission of the National Athletic Trainers' Association is to represent, engage and foster the continued growth and development of the athletic training profession and athletic trainers as unique health care providers.

NATA Chapters and Sections


NATA is segmented geographically into ten districts, each of which is comprised of a district association and state associations that operate independent of NATA.  Membership to NATA automatically includes districts and state memberships as well, for all NATA members located within the United States or its territories.

The Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida


The Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida is committed to the advancement of our profession through education, community engagement, legislative efforts, and professional development, dedicating financial support and leadership, ultimately enhancing patient-centered care.

Athletic Training Boards


Currently, 49 states and the District of Columbia regulate the practice of athletic training. Individuals must be legally recognized by the appropriate state regulatory agency prior to practicing athletic training. The BOC exam is recognized by all Athletic Trainer state regulatory agencies to meet their exam requirement. Compliance with state regulatory requirements is mandatory and the only avenue to legal athletic training practice.

World Federation of Athletic Training & Therapy


Vision:  Athletic Training & Therapy will be recognized as an essential part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams worldwide

Mission:  The WFATT provides leadership to advance the international interests of its members for the common goal of optimal health care for physically active populations.
