On the Zotero home page, click the red Download button for Mac, Windows, Linux, or iOS options.
This should take you to a web page with a download link for the browser and software you are currently using. Click on the blue download button.
To install on a Mac, open the downloaded .dmg and drag the Zotero icon to your application folder. From there, you can run it like any other application on your computer.
To install on a Windows device, run the set up program you downloaded.
For Linux, select this link and follow the instructions.
Scroll down on the initial download page to install browser connectors (this allows Zotero to identify citations and add them to your account) for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Zotero does not work in Internet Explorer (IE).
The FGCU Writing Lab is a service for students needing writing assistance, including help with citations. They offer thirty-minute consultations by appointment and on a walk-in basis.
