What is ORCID?
ORCID is an acronym, short for Open Researcher and Contributer ID. It is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2010 to provide a registry of persistent, unique identifiers for researchers and scholars, and a method of linking research-related terms to those identifiers. An ORCID record is managed by you and stays with you throughout your career, no matter what institution you work for or where you live in the world. Register for a free ID HERE.
