What is the One Button Studio?
The One Button Studio is a simplified video recording setup that can be used without any previous video production experience. The design of the studio allows you to create high-quality and polished video projects without having to know anything about lights and cameras. You only need to bring your flash drive with you and push a single button.
How does it work?
The One Button Studio is very simple to use and you don't even need an orientation. The following outline will guide you on the basics of using the space.
- Once you reserve the space you will go to the Main Circulation Desk to pick up the key for the room.
- Upon entering Library East 142 you will see the One Button Studio in the right corner of the room.
- At the station you will plug your USB device into the USB hub. The camera, lights, and microphone will turn on.
- Wait for everything to turn on and for the camera to clear any of the start up notifications.
- When you are ready to record, press the button located on the table top.
- Record your presentation, lesson, assignment, and when you are completed press the button again to stop the recording.
- Allow the system time to save your recording to your USB drive.
- You may record any many times as you like, and when you are finished recording and the program is back on the home screen remove your USB drive.
- The system should turn the camera, lights, and microphone off.
- Turn the lights in the room off and return the key to the circulation desk.
Make sure you bring a USB drive that has at least 16 GB for available storage.
