The FGCU Library has one Glowforge Pro, available to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff, located in Library West 116. The Glowforge is currently unavailable for public use. However you may access the service by submitting a request using the "Submit a file" page located on the left side of the screen. You will need to attach a file containing a JPG, PNG, SVG, PDF, and other file formats. You can create Glowforge-compatible files from a variety of different software platforms like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, Autodesk 360, & Sketchup.
Once you submit your request, the Library Makerspace will email you to confirm both that your request was successfully processed and the total amount for your request. If you confirm that the price is okay we will begin your project. Once the project is complete, we will email you again with the information on how to pay for your request. All transactions will be done through the FGCU Library Makerspace Marketplace.
For an estimate of your cost please use the Materials/Cost tab on the left side of the screen.
*Note that projects are completed on a first come first serve basis. Please submit all requests well before the expected needed date to ensure enough time to complete.
