About the Library's Cricut
The FGCU Library has one Cricut Maker available to faculty, staff, and students. The Cricut Maker is an electric cutting machine that automates the cutting process by loading your design into software to create almost anything you can design. The machines uses a sharp blade to achieve this, cutting your designs out of the material you load in to it. This can include various types of vinyl, paper, cardboard, adhesive foils, cloth materials, and even very thin pieces of wood. The Cricut Maker is excellent at creating 2D designs and being able to use materials that may not be usable with the Glowforge laser cutter and engraver.
