About the Library's CNC Milling Machine

The FGCU Library has a Bantam Tools CNC Milling machine available to faculty, staff, and students. These machines use a process called subtractive manufacturing. This is done by using a fast spinning sharp tooling bit to remove layers from a piece of stock material until your final design is achieved.  This process allows you to create complex, highly detailed designs out of solid pieces of material very rapidly.
